On an incredibly hot day that saw temperatures rise to 103 degrees, Colt McCoy and Toby Gerhart headed out to Lake Mead for some bass fishing. Having just flown into Las Vegas earlier that day they didn’t make it to the water until 1pm, which made for some tough top water fishing. The guys, undeterred, set about their undeniably pleasurable task. Toby, a recent addition to the Minnesota Vikings, started catching fish instantly. Although he was pulling smaller bass, his enjoyment was palpable. Just being on the water — away from it all — was enough for him. McCoy, not to be outdone, brought in a bass right before we had to call it an afternoon and find some shade!
